Ostoberschlesien
Ostoberschlesien is a regional administrative unit that included areas that were annexed to the Reich to the east of the Polish Silesia province of Slask, the center of which is Zaglembie. It is the eastern part of the industry and mines basin to the south west of Poland that is a heavily populated urban area.
There were some 65,000 Jews in Zaglembie on the Eve of World War II, most of them in the major cities in the area: Będzin and Sosnowiec.
